In 2020, VCU received more than $360,000,000 in external research funding. VCU School of Medicine currently ranks number 60 of all US medical schools by total NIH grant awards with 107 NIH-funded investigators and 147 grants.
Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Engineering is now the VCU College of Engineering. This change reflects the college’s increase in programs, research, faculty and student census, and supports its mission to advance a collaborative, creative and entrepreneurial engineering culture.
Students will be mentored jointly by faculty in the College of Engineering and in the School of Pharmacy at VCU, with the participation of faculty from Virginia State University. Students will work alongside and have support from graduate students who are currently developing their dissertation work.
